Resolutions

It is that time of year to set resolutions. So many people are ready to get fit. I am sure you already set your resolution.

Most people’s resolutions are to start dieting/eating healthy or exercising. Most people start strong and stick to a plan for maybe three weeks before they are back in the same old rut. Sure, some lose a few pounds in those few weeks but not enough to make the big change in their life.

The key is to know why you want something. For example, why do you want to lose weight? Is it that you want to look like that super model on the front cover? Come on, be serious and have a real reason.

Getting fit and dropping weight is not only about appearance. Getting fit and losing weight is more about being healthy. With less fat on your body and a increased fitness level, you will have a much healthier heart. Your self-esteem will be skyrocketing. With less body fat and a increased fitness level, you will be full of energy and ready to take on the world!

In order to stick to your fitness and weight loss resolution you will need to plan. You need to plan for success.

Tip 1. Find some friends and/or family members you can exercise and eat better with. Or at least find someone that will kick you in the butt for not sticking to your plan.

Tip 2. Plan out your healthy meals. Keep it simple and start small. Going all out may be discouraging. Check out the Metabolism Booster program for some ideas.

Tip 3. Schedule your meals and prepare them the day before.

Tip 4. Join an exercise group unless you must go it alone. Groups are much more motivating and much easier to stick to.

Tip 5. Make your resolution a lifestyle. Do not let anyone stand in your way. If you mess up, do not worry about it. Fix it and keep going.

Your future and your results are in your hands and no one else. No one can get you to where you want to be but you. Others can help you and guide you but ultimately it is up to you.
