   Yes it replaced my Tunze as i now have a bigger tank and the tunze was a little small for it.

   Hi

   Yes it will run fine in 11inchs of water. But if you wanted to you could stand the skimmer on something inside the sump so its a bit higher

   ok thanks, the thing is that my sump is just over 11 inch in water will this skimmer run ok in that water depth?

   can anyone tell me what the water level this skimmer works best in thanks.
   as im looking to buy this skimmer or the SWC 160 cone skimmer.
   any advise guys?

    Pump is very quiet . It had a small Humming sound for the first few days. Now I cant really hear it next to my return pump in the sump. It makes less noise than my Tunze 9002 does . Mike is a real nice guy and is always there if you need any help. You wont go wrong buying a Skimmer from him

    Looking at buying one of these,would like to know the noise level.
    Would you say its very quiet compared to most skimmers.
