How does baked tilapia w/ onions, boiled white rice and mixed peas and corn sound?

  5. krest2012 says:

@fitcoach2007 There’s just one problem with those headlines: the study had nothing to do with health outcomes associated with eating tilapia, or any other fish for that matter.

  6. fitcoach2007 says:

@mydollstuff any kind of white fish will work.

  7. mydollstuff says:

What type of other fish would this be good for?

  8. fitcoach2007 says:

@xiomyflor23 pretty much any other salt water fish.

  9. xiomyflor23 says:

What have you been eating as far as fish goes since you mentioned you have not had Tilapia since a year ago?

    @fitcoach2007

You are the author of this video and you have not eaten Tilapia for a year since you saw a report on it’s potential harm to the human heart on 60 Minutes?

Then why do you still have this video up with the title

    Healthy Recipes…Baked Fish (Tilapia)

  11. brambau says:

Look up this article in google:

“Popular Fish, Tilapia, Contains Potentially Dangerous Fatty Acid Combination”

It’s fully explained in this Science Daily article
Wake Forest University School of Medicine, NC did the research

essentially farmed Tilapia (wild unavailable) unlike other fish on the market does not contain high levels of Omega 3 fatty acid which is believed to contribute to heart health.
Instead it contains Omega 6 fatty acid which makes it potentially worse for you than bacon

  12. acquintero100 says:

@brambau can u dumb that down a bit??

  13. fitcoach2007 says:

@brambau I totally agree with you! I made this video 2-years ago. I have not had Tilapia in over a year since I saw a report on 60 Minutes.

  14. brambau says:

Look up this article in google:

“Popular Fish, Tilapia, Contains Potentially Dangerous Fatty Acid Combination”

Tilapia has higher levels of potentially detrimental long-chain omega-6 fatty acids than 80-percent-lean hamburger, doughnuts and even pork bacon, the inflammatory potential of hamburger and pork bacon is lower than the average serving of farmed tilapia.

  20. rbneville says:
