Why Some People Almost Always Drop 20 In The First Month

Not everyone will drop 20 pounds in 30 days but it is possible. The more weight you have the better your chances of dropping 20 pounds in 30 days. I am not saying set your sights on 20 pounds. I am just saying it is possible and has been done before.

Starvation!

See, one way some people drop 20 pound in 30 days, and this is a bad way, is some people basically starve themselves. There are so many things wrong with cutting calories back so much that you starve your body.

First off, you are setting yourself up to get sick. You would be cutting out so many nutrients and vitamins that you would open yourself up to so many health problems. Your immune system would simply suck!

You would probably feel tired all the time.  Your body cannot operate without fuel which you get from foods. (You cannot drive a car without gas.)

You would probably lose some fat along with a lot of water weight and even worst, your body would be looking for energy in the wrong places… Your muscles would get eaten up!

As you can tell starving yourself is not the way to drop weight or drop 20 pounds. Those are only three things that could happen. There are many more things that could happen to you in a starvation diet!

Losing weight does not always mean you have dropped fat. Remember, weight loss is more than about the scales. Check your inches lost as well! Just because someone is skinny does not mean they are healthy.

The Right Way!

Not everyone can lose 20 pounds in 30 days but some can. If you are someone who cannot lose 20 pounds in 30 days that is ok. Hey, if you only drop 5 pounds, that is great.

Losing it the right way can be done in roughly four stages…

Goal Setting

Setting goals are easy. The problem is sticking to them. Be sure you are able to complete  the daily goals you set or why set em? Keep it simple and to the point.

Nutrition

Eating is key! Be sure to follow a meal plan that is right for you. Not up for a meal plan, use your head, you know what you should and shouldn’t be eating. Eat your protein and all your veggies, kiddies!

Exercise

Get your lazy butt off the couch and move around. Join a Boot Camp class, Kettlebell Fat Busting class or a gym. Group training is the best for motivation. Heck, do it on your own from home. Use some cool interval music to keep your workouts interesting. Just do something that will make you sweat. (Gardening does not count or mopping the floor!)

Maintenance

Once you have lost your 10 or 20 pounds, continue following your goals. Be sure you exercise, eat well, set goals, and continue maintaining this fit and fabulous body of yours.

Gaining weight does not always mean you are getting fat. Sometimes it means you have gained some great fat burning muscle! More muscle you have the more fat you can and will burn.
